The discovery was made on a very popular trail below the Hollywood sign at about 3:45 p.m., police say. When the dogs were playing with the it slipped out of the bag and thats when they realized it was a head. Sources say it was the head of a man in his 40s with "salt-pepper" hair. Police don't believe that the head had been at the site for a long time. The based this on the fact that there was no bite marks from animals on the head. Police said the women that discovered the head is a dog walker and was walking about nine dogs when the head was found. Cadaver dogs were used to assist to find more human remains.
