Teacher Stabs Other Teacher

High school English is being accused of violently stabbing a fellow teacher with a screwdriver on Thursday after they had a disagreement at a meeting. Cynthia Glozier,54, also an English teacher at Poughkeepsie High School was sent to the hospital and the school had a brief lockdown. Glozier was stabbed 16 times by Ronette Ricketts,40. Ricketts was stabbed 11 times in the back and then several more times in the head, chest, shoulder, and also the neck. Officials said the injured teacher is being treated at St. Francis Hospital. Police are still investigating the fight.

 Police reported that Ricketts had become enraged with Glozier after their disagreement about a department meeting. Ryan Morris, a student at Poughkeepsie High School said "blood was all over the floor". Officials said lockdown took place from about 10 a.m till 11:15 a.m.. School has also reported that no students were harmed or involved in the incident. After having the lockdown the school continued classes Thursday.

Bieber Takes DNA Test

17-year-old Justin Bieber took a DNA test on Friday night in New Jersey to prove that Mariah Yeater's son is not his. 20-year-old Mariah Yeater is claming that her and Bieber had a sexual encounter after one of his concerts last fall.

Yeater paternity lawsuit against the s17-year-old singer/ songwriter was withdrawn earlier this month. Yeater said they are trying to settle the matter out of the court with Bieber's camp. TMZ has reported that Justin Bieber is still considering legal action aganist Yeater and her lawyers even though her lawsuit was dropped. A couple in New Jersey lost custofy of their three kids after giving them Nazi-inspired names. The parents have been denied the right to take home fourth newborn baby Hons. Kidnapped Ballplayer

Washington Nationals catcher Wilson Ramos was founded Friday by Venezuelan security forces in mountainous area of nothern Venezuela after being kidnapped. He was kidnapped by a gunman outside of his home in the city of Valencia. Four men were arrested at the abductors' hideout buther the other suspect escaped the police raid. Police arrested a Colombian and Venezuelan as helpers in the kidnapping. The charges inculde kidnapping, illegal possession of firearms, use of stolen vehicle, and criminal association.

Teacher bullying student

A 14-year-old developmentally disabled student said she hid a recording device on herself. She was trying to prove a teacher and a school aide were bullying her. The girl's mother and mother's boyfriend said in court documents they had complained about the mental and emotional abuse to school officals in Miami Trace district of Columbus. A 300,000 settlement was reached in the lawsuit from the girl's family aganist the school. The teacher aide is Kelly Chaffins and the teacher is Christie Wilit. They always called the girl dumb and accused her of being a liar, cheater, and a theift. Also they made fun of her for not having friends. Boy choked

Six yea old is being charged with charging a patient care assistant at Nassau University Medical Center. Azoumana Ouattara, 45 was caring for the boy in the hospital's psychiatric ward at the time of the attack.
"He used unnecessary force" said Detective Lt. Raymond Cote. They boy said he was being forcibly held around his neck, while being held to the bed. Photos were taken by the child's mother that showed red marks around his neck. His mother told NBC that she "is still haunted by what her son said to her after the assault. She said her son told her " Mommy, after it happened i was crying but you weren't there." she was very upset by it. She also said that " no child should be treated that, period. Toddler found dead near St.Louis Cemetert

20-year-old suburban St.Louis women is being charged with murdering her 13-month-old son. Shelby Dasher is charged with second-degree murder in the death of her son Tyler. Dasher was arrested early Wednesday and is being held on a 500,000 cash bond. Dasher admitted to police that she had repeatedly stuck her son because he was "crying and wouldn't lay down, he wouldn't go back to sleep" she said. Dasher was named a suspect in the toddler's death and no on is being charged with a crime. St. Louis County medical examiner is calling Tyler's death an apparent homicide. About 170 people have been sickened with salmonella food poisoning linking back to broiled chicken liver products. The illnesses were also linked to chopped liver products. Recalled products include 10-pound boxes of Meat Mart Broiled Chicken and 10 poundboxes of loose packed broiled chicken liver. Salmonella infections normally cause diarrhea, abdominal cramps, and fever within 72 hours of eating contaminated food.

Rhino's extinct

Thursday in Geneva the Western Black Rhino of Africa was officially declared extinct by a leading conservation group.

According to two other conservstion groups two other species of rhino's are close to meeting the same fate. The Northern White Rhino of central Africa are now "possibly extinct" the Javan Rhino of Vietnam is also "probably extinct. There is a small population that survives on an Indonesian Island n Java but is declining. The Javan Rhino found dead in Vietnam in 210 was the country's last and have been delcared extinct. South Africa has fewer than 2,000 black rhinos and there are fewer than 5,000 left across the contient of Africa. Vietnam is considered the biggest consumers of rhino horns.

Hurricane In Alaska

Anchorage , Alaska are getting ready for a stormof "epic proportions". Residents are fleeing and moing to higher elevation.  This storm that is about to hit is one of the  strongest stors in four years./All of the precipitation sent the water levels to rise causing massive flooding in Nome, wednesday night. The last time a storm like this occured was in November 1974, causing a sea surge that measured more than 13 feet. And before the stom in 1974 the last one seen was in 1913.

South Korean court has sentenced a United States soldier for 10 years in prison on Tuesday for rapping a teenage girl. This is the second harshest punishment handed down to a convicted American soldier in nearly 20 years. 21-year-old Kevin Flippin was convicted by Uijeongbu District Court for the sexual assault of a 16-year-old girl numerous times after he bbrokes in to her boarding room near Seoul in September. Flippin had threatened the girl with a pair of scissors, a knife and a lighter. He committed many sexually perverted acts. Flipping also robbed the young girl of 5,000 won (4.50).
Court verdict said the girl felt "terrified and sexually humiliated. Courts ordered Flippin to 80 hours of counseling and made his personal information made public on South Korean government website for the next 10 years. Prosecutors also demanded 15-year prison term. The court decided on a 10-year sentence instead. Flippin got ten year because was still young and the rape was his first crime. Dozens of South Koreans activist rallied by the U.S. Esbassy in Seoul, they chanted slogans and held placecards. One of the placecards read "We need Obama's apology!"

12 year old arrested

Marion Salmon Hedges, is a wealthy Manhattan real easte agent who was handing out candy for underprivileged children when she was hit with a shopping cart. Two 12-year old boys were arrested after dropping a shopping cart four stories down onto Hedges. The innocent took place on Sunday when Hedges was walking outside Target with her 14-year old son in East Harlem, New York. She was shortly rushed to the hospital where she now remains with a medically-induced coma. Patel told sources that him and his wife heard a little boy screaming. The two boys were laughing and telling jokes with each other then the police had taken them into custody.

1 dead , 2 wounded

After a shooting in St. Louis one man is dead and two others are hospitalized. Police officers were called to a house on a Thursday afternoon where they had found a dead man. One of the men were found injured in the street about two blocks from the house. The other man had been found in a small market four blocks away from the house. The police said the man that died lived with his girlfriend and her son. The two were not home at the time. Two people had kicked in the door and witnesses said they heard gunfires.

The man had died at the scene. One of the robbers were wounded in the leg and the other in his chest. 7 killed in minivan

A minivan full of family were killed in their car when they hit a deer on an Indiana highway. They slowed down or even stopped right before a semitrailer slammed into them from behind. Not one person in the minivan were wearing seatbelts when the crash took place that Thursday night on Indiana Toll road. The infant that was in a car seat had not been buckled in either.

Turkey Survivor

13-year-old boy was trapped for five days under fallen debris. Farhat Tokay was pulled out of the debri from rescuer Azerbaijan early Friday. Tokay is the latest survivor to have emerge from the 7.2 magnitude earthquake that had leveled buildings and killed nearly 570 people. He had used his sneakers as a pillow to sleep. Tokay had used a tiny gap to determine wheather it was day or night. Tokay said that he was very hungry the first day, but the hunger pains had soon disappeared. College Student Dies after Workout

At the University of Rhode Island a student has died after his baseball workout. Joseph Paul Ciancola died Thursday after he had suffered a unspecified medical emergency during his baseball preseason workout on Monday. 20- year old Ciancola died at the Rhode Island Hospital. Ohio Animals Escape Zoo

A town in Ohio is on lockdown after dozens of dangerous wild animals escaped a private zoo. Police said there are about 48 animals which inculde - Grizzly , Black Bears , Wolves, and sereral species of large cats. The animals were kept in cages out side of 62-year old Terry Thompsons house. Thompson had been released from federal prison three weeks earlier after he served a year term for firearm charges. Federal agents raided the farm in June 2008. They seized more than 100 guns. Thompson was had also previously been fined with letting his animals wander. A nearby cattle farmer Kate Riley said Thompson would sometimes come and take her dead cattle and feed it to his lions. She also told Columbus Dispatch newspaper that he would have claw marks all over him and that his wife had recently left him and moved out.

12-year old murder Brothers

Cristian Fernandez 12-years-old is being charged as an adult in the murder of his brother. He is the youngest person to be charged with murder as an adult in Jacksonville's history. If he is convicted he could spend the rest of his life in prison. Fernandez is being charged with first-degree murder. Police say that the crime was premeditated and that Fernandez intentionally killed his two- year old brother. Fernandez had violently shoved him into a bookshelf twice, causing his skull to fracture and cause massive internal bleeding. Medical examiner said David's death was a homicide, and was caused by blunt-force trauma. Mother, Briannela Susana was not home at the time of the incident. 

The police say that David was laying in his bed unconscious, thats when Cristian called his mother, who then came home. Susana,25, is being charged with aggravated manslaughter of a child and felony child abuse. She will remain in jail on a $1 million bond and if she is convicted she will face up to 30 years in prison. A doctor from St. Luke's said that if the child had been treated sooner he may have survived.  Fernandez's public defender said that all the blames belongs to his mother and that he doesn't deserve to me prosecuted as an adult. Fernandez's next court date will be October 31 , and his mother is to stand trail on Feb.27

Pepper Spraying at Middle School

   Administrators of Lafayette-Winona Middle School in Norfolk,Va are investigating the school security guard's use of pepper spray during a food fight. It happend during a lunch period on Tuesday in the school's cafeteria. Elizabeth Mather public school spokesperson said that the offiver used pepper spray to break up the fight. Mather reported that 37 students complain of physical symptoms from the pepper. The students had been examined by the school's nurse and their parents were contacted. After the incident five parents had contacted the school.

One student Derrell Hairston 12-years old said "It was terrible in there". Hairston mother Tyheshia said "He stayed up all night coughing and gagging". Lafayette's school superintendent Dr. Richard Bentley said " I'd be upset absolutely I don't blame the parents for being upset I understand that". Accoding to school security officer policy, the security must give warning before the use of pepper spray and only when lesser forms of force don't work. Student Found Dead In Pond

College sophomore who was reported missing last week in central Arkansas was found dead in a pond south of Little Rock on Monday. 20-year old Patricia Guardado's body was discovered on Sunday afternoon in a few feet of water of Sweet Home, Arkansas.

A dive team on Monday searched the water where her body was found near a cemetery less than ten miles south of little rock. As of right now no suspects are being named.The cause of death was not immediately released. The police wouldn't comment on whether Guardado had been assaulted, if she knew her assailant, or even how long she had been in the pond.Guardado was last seen leaving her parents home at around 8:45 a.m., on Wednesday. Guardado had a nine a.m. calculus classat the Univerity of Arkansas at Little Rock, where she studied international business. She was reported missing that night when she didn't arrive to her classes. Her car was found in a parking lot near the school. William McQuain

On Tuesday morning in the wooded area of the country, Montgomery County Police Chief Thomas Manger found the body of who he believes is 11-year old William McQuain. Police have been searching on different trails and parks in northern Montgomery County based on the information they received. Police began searching for McQuain after Jane McQuain was found dead last week in the bedroom of her condominium. McQuain estranged husband, Curtis Maurice Lopez, was arrested in North Carolina and charged with her death. McQuain's ex-boyfriend told The Associated Press last week that she had recently told him that she feared for her saftey and was worried that Lopez might hurt her. The "Dungeon"

Missing Florida girl was found safe in Philadelphia in the wake of the arrest of three people who were allegedly holding mentally disable adults captive in a basement. The 15-year-old was reported to be missing from her home in West Palm Beach, Florida on July 4. The girl had last been seen with Gregory Thomas Jr,. Thomas's father was arrested over the weekend in the connection with the basement captive case. The police gave reporters access to the basement "dungeon" of the apartment where they were holding four mentally disabled adults captive.

The victims, were a women and three men. They were found in a crawlspace that had smelt like urine and was to shallow for the adults to stand in. In the crawlspace was a mattresses and blankets, but there was no food expect for a container of orange juice. The adults had also shared their space with three dogs. The adults were found all very weak and malnourished. One of the adults had been chained to a boiler. The victims ages were from 29 to 41. Police identifed the victims as Derwin McLemire,41, from North Carolina, Herberrt Knowles, 40 from Virginia and Tamara Breeden, 29 and Edwin Sanabria,31 both from Philaelphia.They had the mental capacity of 10-year olds, they also had some physical disabilities.They were being held for thier Social Sercity Checks.

51 year old Weston was charged with kidnapping, false imprisonment and other offenses, with a bail set at $2.5 million. Also a man named Eddie "the Reverend Ed"(50 years old) was arrested and was said to be Weston's boyfriend. 47-year old Gregory Thomas Sr. was arrested with them.
Westom was described as the ringleader of the group. Weston faces charges of kidnapping and conspiracy.

Kidnapping in Jersey

55 year old Emil Donaberger was arrested Tuesday in  New Jersey. Donaberger is being charged with the kidnapping of a ten year old boy. The police say that Donaberger stole a green Plymouth Voyager. The police located the vehcile at a store in Claryville. Locals had told police that Donaberger and the boy were spotted together. After serching the woods with K9 units and helicopters the police found Donaberger and the boy in the woods together.

They were found in the town of Denning on Red Hill Road. According to the police the boy is healthly and good condition. He didnt show any signs of abuse and had apparently left willingly with Donaberger. The boy was staying in the woods in a tent with Donabeger since monday. Liberty state police say that Donaberger was previously married to the boy's mother and they were still living in the same home together. Also he is comsidered to be the boy's father figure. Nigerian man plead guilty on Wednesday to trying to bomb a Detroit-bound airline. He said that the United States should be warned. Umar Farouk Abdulmutallab plead guilty to putting explosives in is underwear. He tried to blow up flight 253 on December 25 , 2009. Abdulmutallab told the Detroit courtroom's that the bomb "was a blessed weapons to save the lives of innocent Muslims". Steve Jobs, who is said to be the master mind behind Apple's iPhone, iPod, iPad, and iTunes has died at the age of 56. Steve Jobs is the Chairman of the Board of Apple, which he co-founded in 1976.

Job's had fought a form of pancreatic cancer and also had a liver transplant. Jobs continued to battle severe health problems over recent years. In 2004, Jobs had beat an unusual form of pancreatic cancer, and in 2009 he was forced to get a liver transplant. Amanda Knox Returns Home

Amanda Knox is heading home from Perugia, Italy to Settle as a free women.Knox was convicted on October 28 , 2008 for the murder and sexual assault of Meredith Kercher. Kercher was a 21-year old British student who shared a apartment with Knox in Perugia. Knox's boyfriend Raffaele Sollecito was also accused for the murder of Kercher. Knox and her family were on a flight with British Airways which had landed in Seattle at eight o'clock.  She is finally able to return home after for the murder she was convicted of four years ago.
